Today we want to introduce you to Alberto and his family.
Here we are in a small farmhouse among the vineyards, typical of the area and which in the local dialect is called “casera”. Alberto, his mother Francesca and his brother Davide decided three years ago to renovate this tool shed and stable to create a place that could welcome tourists from different parts of the world to bring the tradition and authenticity of these lands to life.
Alberto says:
“This is how the idea of our wine tourism in Guia di Valdobbiadene was born. Our goal is to make those who come here experience the emotion of the old peasant life with local products and a view of the Prosecco hills.”
Alberto continues:
“It gives me joy to be able to let our guests experience the same sense of freedom and nature that I lived here as a child when I played in these places with my brother Davide and let him relive a food and wine experience as we usually do with our friends.
The name Marchet has always been linked to our dairy and when we had to choose a name for our wine tourism we had no doubts”
But who was Marchet?
“It was the nickname of the old owner from whom we bought this small farmhouse in the 1980s. In fact, his name was Marco, but given his small stature everyone in Guia di Valdobbiadene called him Marchet”
